ABOUT US

Chiropractic Works was established in 1994 with a view to providing the best Chiropractic care possible to the community. Dr. Eric (Chiropractor) and Pauline Dowker were the founders of the practice which has since been taken over by Dr. Zac (Chiropractor) and Fleur Dowker. This changeover between generations makes it a truly family run business. We are proud of what our practice has achieved during the past 26 years and continue to enjoy serving and being a part of our local community.

Dr. Zac (Chiropractor) was fortunate enough to grow up in a chiropractic family and he was checked and adjusted from birth by his father. Largely influenced by his upbringing and his priority on health and wellness, Zac headed to New Zealand to study chiropractic, graduating in 2005.

During his studies, Zac won multiple achievement awards as well as seeing record patient numbers at the college due to his passion and enthusiasm for peoples health. Amongst a wide range of other professional development, Zac has gone onto extend his education in paediatric care, prenatal care and other wellness studies.

Zac is happily married to Fleur and together they have two energetic and active boys. On both a personal and professional level Zac appreciates the young years of life where the health foundations are built.

Zac was a track athlete prior to his chiropractic studies and has a keen interest in getting the best performance out of athletes, weekend warriors or those wanting to have an active lifestyle. Having that sports background and a mantra of 'movement is life', he is always keen to share how exercise movement may be beneficial for the body.

When Zac is not in the clinic, he will be found in numerous parks with his family, training for a marathon or riding a bike up a hill.
